Show Details Shared Note: - We know from the will of Amos Slawson that Allen Roscoe and Sally Ann Slawson were married sometime before March of 1825, as this was when Amos wrote his will. We also know from the documents that prove his will that in April of 1830 two of Amos' daughters were married to two Roscoe brothers, and that they lived in Connecticut. A review of the 1830 census for Connecticut, finds the brothers and brides residing in Greenwich, Connecticut, which is only a few miles from Pound Ridge, NY.
Based on Fairfield county probate records, Allen Roscoe's brother, Abraham passed away, in Ocotber 1833. Also, sadly for Allen his wife, Sally Ann ‎(Slawson)‎ Roscoe died on January 27, 1834. She is buried in the same cemetery as her father Amos, which is the Avery cemetery in Pound Ridge, NY.
A review of 1840 census records, shows Allen Roscoe, living in the same neighborhood as many of his former Slawson in laws. Allen lives 4 doors from his brother in law Eli, three doors from his mother in law Susannah, and 2 doors from his sister in Charlotte Little. Apparently Allen Roscoe and Sally Ann ‎(Slawson)‎ Roscoe, never had any children. The 1840 census shows, however, that Allen has remarried, and has two sons under the age of 10.
Nothing further is known about Allen and his new family.
